This Saw poster immediately gives off a supernatural impression because the they had put in red eyes on purpose to emphasize a sense of evil and something ominous. The reason why they added the black background is so the pale masked figure would stand out. There is no other elements going on making the main focus the mask , so it creates more suspense for the audience. The mouth is also very blurred out and black, making it seem like the figure is almost some supernatural animal. This film poster suggests that this movie has elements of horror and murder.

The target audience of Saw would most likely be teenager to adults, perhaps 16 or 17+ considering how the audience can tolerate horror. The target gender for this film would be for both male and female as the character and everything is unknown except a mysterious mask.
