 1) Which part of Media are you looking forward to the most?

In media I am looking forward to creating my own pieces of work, and doing something more fun and expressive work, without needing to constantly sit at a desk with pen and paper.


2) What knowledge and skills do you hope to learn in Media?
In media I hope to build on my creativity skills and learn new things about myself through this coursework at media studies.

3) What grade are you realistically hoping to achieve in Media?
The grade I am most realistically hoping to get is a 7 or above in media.

4) What device do you use most to access the media? (The media = news, TV, music, film, social media etc.) 
On media I mostly social media sites such as TikTok. And also watching films and series from Netflix

5) What is your average 'screen time' (or equivalent) on your phone each day. Is this about right, too little or too much? Why? 
My screen time on my phone is about right maybe a bit higher, however I balance it out by doing other things and watching TV.

6) What was the last TV programme or film you watched?
The last film I have watched is a horror movie called saw.

7) What device or subscription do you use to listen to music?
The app I mostly use to listen to music is Spotify.

8) Do you play video games? If so, what do you play games on and what is your favourite game?
I don't play any online games majority of my time, as i slowly began to find them a bit boring so I mostly watch TV and do things outside my phone sometimes.

9) Are you on social media? If so, what social media do you have and why do you like it? 

On social media I enjoy using TikTok as I can watch things that suit me and text friend's online easily. 

10) Finally, do you think the media is a positive or negative thing for young people? Why?

I believe media can be a positive and negative thing for young people because you can explore new topics and things easily while also staying connected with friend's and family. However has cons like being used as a distraction from the outside world and being a victim to online threats.

The woman seems neutral, showing off her newly done nails. The message being told is to persuade people to visit this beauty salon. This advert seems to most likely be targeted for women considering the main Centre of attention is a woman with everything done up. The pink is also shown as a very girly color itself, creating a sense of femininity rather than an advert shown for men. Key concepts film poster analysis- Aleeza

Language:  This Saw poster immediately gives off a supernatural impression because the they had put in red eyes on purpose to emphasize a sense of evil and something ominous. The reason why they added the black background is so the pale masked figure would stand out. There is no other elements going on making the main focus the mask , so it creates more suspense for the audience. The mouth is also very blurred out and black, making it seem like the figure is almost some supernatural animal. This film poster suggests that this movie has elements of horror and murder. Audience: The target audience of Saw would most likely be teenager to adults, perhaps 16 or 17+ considering how the audience can tolerate horror. The target gender for this film would be for both male and female as the character and everything is unknown except a mysterious mask.
